Love the refrain of the title track when Tony hits the high notes. Ironically right after that is probably my favorite section of the whole album with the short doom section and then Toni's solo. I honestly laughed out loud when I heard that. at ~1:32 Martin sings 'and the kiss on the wind whispers murder', then there is this harmonized 'murder'. I prefer the lyrics on Eternal Idol much better (which correct me if I am wrong, but I assume Martin didnt write, as he was brought in late after the songs were done (?) If more diverse lyrics, this album could be a top 80s album of any band.jeez, does every lyric have to be about the devil, demons, or evil? I am assuming Martin wrote the words, and I picture he was thinking, OMG I just got the Sabbath gig - they are that satanic band.I better write a bunch of words dealing with the occult.I recently started to listed to the 80s and 90s Sabbath albums. we'll see) I'll be back with my review of Dehumanizer (Dio's back!!!!) So in a couple weeks (maybe not that long. I have now listened to all the albums including TYR and have got myself back on track in listening to the albums chronologically (I listened to TYR randomly a few months ago). I personally wouldn't rank this album higher than The Eternal Idol (I really really dig that album), and I probably would have it ranked 1 spot behind it. Anyways, a nice chorus and beautiful singing by Tony Martin along with beautiful guitar-work by Iommi all throughout, ends the album ends very, very well. I will say though that the riff that starts around the 2:40 mark does sound a lot like the riff from The Writ. Nightwing is a really nice piece of music.Black Moon is probably the weakest song on the album and I'd give it a 'good' rating.Not really much to say about this song but it is very enjoyable Call of the Wild is a pretty cool track aswell.I just love the overall feel of the upbeat verses and then the real 'evil' riffs It really shows a big contrast. There's just something about this song that tickles my fancy. Ok, Kill in the Spirit World might actually be my favourite off the album.Overall, the faster paced part is brilliant! I love the riff that's repeated before the chorus' and before and after the solo. When Death Calls is EPIC! I found this one to be quite hyped up before listening to the album and it doesn't disappoint.And wow Tony Martin sounds bloody awesome! Got a really nice riff and feel about it. It was actually the first Tony Martin song I ever heard and it gave me hope for his whole era (which seems to have quite mixed reviews). All the rest are either 'Great' or 'Awesome' Overall, there's some pretty awesome songs and I'd say that there's only one song that is 'good'. There is some really top-notch material on this album and I have really enjoyed listening to it.
